Distracted Driving (WCSH 6 features and Jay Middle School) Click 'read more' for full winning update!
WCSH-6 has run a series of feature stories on Distracted Driving including one follow-up segment that covers the activity of a group from Jay Middle School that used this topic as a Lego League project. MTSC members were a resource to this team's efforts. Introducing “Survive Your Drive” – Maine’s Highway Safety Campaign! The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety has developed a powerful campaign to help make our highways safer. The effort addresses four main priorities – drunk driving, safety belt usage, teen safety and speeding. Of course, we are always working to enhance child, pedestrian and motorcycle safety as well. Operation Lifesaver has two new PSA's
There are two new distracted driving public service announcements that have been produced and made availalble by Operation Lifesaver. They are posted at the MTSC website - go to 'Safety Links' on the left side of MTSC's home page, and then click on the 'RailRoad' set of links.
